Babatunde Gbadamosi, a businessman, real estate developer, and erstwhile Lagos State gubernatorial candidate, has urged Nigerians to take up arms to defend themselves against terrorists.
He shared the advice on X, sparking divided opinions.
He wrote:

“Dear Nigerians, Arm Yourselves. Buy Crossbows. Buy AK-47 rifles. Buy GPMGs. Buy RPG Launchers.
“Buy LAVs – they are made in Nigeria. Buy Drones.
“Learn to use them.
“Resist ANY attempt to disarm you. Anybody who tries to disarm you wants you to be murd£red.
“Age is no excuse. Gender is no excuse. Religion is no excuse.
“If you refuse, your de@th at the hands of Fulani Muslim Jihadist Terrorists will be your own fault. #TakeYourFitnessSeriously.”
His followers reacted to his tweets by questioning how regular citizens would be able to afford or access arms and drones.
