"My Daughter Died at the Appointed Time" – Says NNPCL Boss, Kyari

Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, has expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received following the passing of his daughter, Fatima. 

In a heartfelt statement shared via X on Monday, Kyari reflected on her life, acknowledging that her departure occurred at her appointed time. He also hoped to be reunited with her in Jannah by Allah’s grace.

“My daughter Fatima departed at her appointed time and looking forward to meeting her in Jannah by Allah’s grace. While the loss is great by all measures, we remain grateful to God for all his mercies,” he said.

Despite facing physical challenges, Kyari shared that Fatima had touched many’s lives.

“I didn’t know the depth of her connections with many people and what she meant to many,” he added.

He highlighted how her passing had brought people together, demonstrating that care and compassion could transcend social circumstances.

Kyari extended his heartfelt thanks to leaders, family members, friends, associates, colleagues, teachers, and countless others who supported the family during this difficult time.

He appreciated those who prayed for Fatima’s soul and offered consolation to the family.

He said, “I profoundly thank our leaders, family members, friends, associates, colleagues, our teachers and the countless unmentioned that joined us to pray for the repose of her soul and for consoling us.”
