Senator Shehu Sani has faulted the manner in which the National Assembly changed the National Anthem and pledge of the country.
In a post on his official X account @ShehuSani said they cannot alter it with wider consultation.
He said: “Tempering with or Changing the National Anthem or National pledge of Nigeria should be done after wider public consultation and should be factored in the process of constitutional amendments.
“Or would be misinterpreted as a surreptitious attempt to dissolve the country by altering one of its most important pillars.”
