Ceballos Set to Miss Start of Season with Hamstring Injury

Real Madrid’s midfielder, Dani Ceballos, is set to miss the beginning of the season due to a hamstring injury confirmed by the club on Thursday.

According to reports from Spanish media, the 26-year-old Spaniard is expected to be sidelined for approximately six weeks. As a result, Ceballos will be unable to participate in Real Madrid’s pre-season tour and could potentially miss the first two rounds of La Liga fixtures. Although Ceballos recently extended his contract with Madrid until 2027, he now faces a challenging task to secure a regular starting position, especially with the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos also signing new deals as veteran midfielders.

Real Madrid has made significant investments in their midfield, including the acquisition of England international Jude Bellingham for over 100 million euros ($112 million). Additionally, options like Fede Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eduardo Camavinga further enhance Carlo Ancelotti’s midfield selection.
