N2bn CAN bribe: Shehu Sani defends Peter Obi

Senator Shehu Sani has defended the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, over the allegation that he gave the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, N2 billion to buy votes.

Iwitnesslive recalled that the allegations was trending within the media space over the weekend with CAN leadership and Obi denying knowledge of such money.

Even one Pastor Frank Alozie Onwumere, who allegedly wrote the petition against CAN has denied any involvement with the petition.

But Senator Shehu Sani on his Twitter handle on Sunday, said he knows Obi every well that he will never give anybody or group such amount of money.

He said, “I don’t think Peter can easily part with N2 billion. Last week we met at the ICC Abuja, venue of the NLC delegate congress, even his front pockets have a sealed cover.”
