Jang blasts Lalong, says G-5 govs not supporting Tinubu

A former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, has hit out at the current occupier of the post Governor Simon Lalong, describing him as a daydreamer for claiming that the aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party Governors have thrown their weight behind the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu.

Lalong who is also the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council had suggested that the Governors led by Rivers State’s Nyesom Wike who decided to withdraw support for the candidate of their party Atiku Abubakar are now working for Tinubu’s candidacy.

Jang said in a statement signed by his Media Consultant, Clinton Garuba, that the “Obvious sign that Lalong is daydreaming is him thinking that the G5 PDP governors and allies including former Governor Jang are supporting Tinubu.

“They have repeatedly said that they do not have personal problems with Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, but with the process that brought him up.

“Yes, the integrity group has disagreements with the PDP and their withdrawal of support for Atiku’s campaign does not in any way suggest that they support the APC candidate. Only Lalong and his fellow dreamers think so.”
